Impressionism and post-Impressionism have long been my two favorite periods in art history, with many of my favorite painters coming from that movement. While I can't draw or paint to save my life, I often find myself looking for movement in nature to do the painting for me, emulating the fluid, kinetic feel of impressionist's brushstrokes. All I then have to do is push a few buttons.

Taken in a small pool just in front of Big Spring in Van Buren, Missouri. With an average daily flow of over 300 million gallons feeding into the Current River, this makes it the largest spring in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world.

Just curious, where exactly was this taken? It's looks awfully similar to a place called Big Spring in Missouri...

Oh haha, that's kind of weird! I was just there taking a little trip in the Ozarks. It was gorgeous :)

I love the lush green weed. Really striking. It looks like there's steam on the water - was it a hot spring?

It's actually the largest spring in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world. There is an average daily flow of 300 million gallons.
