When placing all of your eggs in one basket and hoping for the best, the possibilities of the outcome can induce great amounts of anxiety. A recent trip to South Central Missouri was just that.

With only a clear forecast to go by and unsure of what was in store, I packed up the gear and the lady after work on a Tuesday evening and we drove three hours south. Our goal was the campgrounds just outside the largest spring in the Continental U.S., aptly named "Big Spring". We woke before sunrise and headed down to the Spring hoping for an atmosphere worth the trip. Thankfully, mother nature didn't disappoint. The low fog provided the perfect diffuser for the rising sun and gave us a real treat to munch on.

After shooting other various water features in the area until sundown, we drove back that night and resumed the daily grind, refreshed and renewed.
