While spending Christmas at my sister's in North Carolina, a 3:30 am drive brought me to Sunset Beach on the frigid shores of the Atlantic.
Despite my frozen feet, even in boots, the sunrise was worth every shiver. The light, worth the early morning drive. This was also the one year birthday of my camera, the Canon 7D. Aptly named, Sandra Dee.

Everything about it is just wonderful, all the elements come together to create this very beautiful and magical photo.
The colours in this are simply amazing! It reflects onto the water and the incoming rush of water magically. And as for that sky... just fabulous!
I love the feeling of movement created by capturing the waves as they rush to shore. I also like how you've captured the movement of the tiny bits of foam going towards the water.
I love the composition, you've placed the sun right in the middle of the photo. It draws the viewers eye straight into the photo.
I like the depth of field as well, everything is in focus, and also exposed perfectly. There is also no noise, which is really good!
This photo is just stunning, there's not much more I can say, you've done everything perfect.
Keep up the awesome work!
Vision - 5/5 Everything is perfect!
Originality - 3.5/5 Everyone takes photos of waterscapes, but you've made this something special and unique.
Technique - 5/5 Beautiful, no noise, perfectly exposed, great composition etc.
