An old decrepit barn lies on a piece of dilapidated land in CO. The colorful sunrise provides a backdrop of beauty against the structure, elevating the appearance and displaying a true beauty in it's own way.
...I love abandoned buildings so much. Needless to say, the combination of a deteriorating building and a sunset together is just magical to me. I love how sharply in focus all the straw on the ground is, and the detail of the dead (corn?) field in the background. And the random pieces of scrap metal lying around add a nice touch.
I think the best part of this is the sky in the far distance, the really thin little orange stripes look as though they were painted on! The very pink cloud above the barn looks like some cotton candy. I would've loved to stay in this place for hours and watch the sun rising. It seems so calm and tranquil.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I felt quite the same way when I saw this. We had driven through the night, through Kansas, to get to CO super early. The combinations of elements was a massive streak of luck. The rest of it was a smidge of placement for composition. Thank you again!
