Nevermind the cheesy title. I hate titles.

From this view at Glacier Pt. you can easily see Tenaya Canyon, Half Dome, Liberty Cap, and Vernal and Nevada Falls.

I'm sure this tree jutting out from the rocks has been used multiple times in compositions, but with the sunrise it gave me a neat way to partially obscure the sun, creating a fun interplay of light and shadow. Do you feel that it disrupts or compliments the scene? I'm struggling with it myself but the more I look at it I try to convince myself that it helps break up the scene in an interesting way. Thanks for having a look! Feel free to comment.

For me it disrupts more than it compliments the scene. I like the part of the tree coming out of the rock till it reaches the pine tree. Then it is like obstructing my view to much. I really would like to see what's there behind it, it feels. :-)

Thank you for your input! I can definitely sense a visual tensity.

Having been out to Glacier point somewhat recently, I think you have done a quite nice job capturing this location in a way that is not the norm. Especially considering how over visited and photographed this spot it. Well done!

Much appreciated Matt! I was certain at some point this tree was used in a composition but I haven't really seen any. I got lucky with the sun where it was.
