Point Dume State Beachby *BradLeeDaleNorth

One of my greatest moments in California was standing on Point Dume and witnessing this sunset. I spent the time with three great friends and could not have imagined being anywhere else in the world.

Cali has a very distinct scent. It's a piney, earthy smell that can be detected upon entering the state. Combine that with the cool salty ocean air and the scent delivered from the Giant Coreopsis flowers and euphoria kicks in hard.

The hike up to the point gets your heart rate churning, endorphins kick in and serotonin levels skyrocket. It's a feeling like none other and I would give anything to have access to that kind of bliss on a daily basis.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't need a church or a religion to prove there is something greater than me out there. I have it in tangible form right in front of me. I can see it, touch it, smell it, hear it and taste it.
