One of the only good sunsets from the Yosemite trip at what I can only assume is Mirror Lake, which is merely a flooded field. The trail was closed further down the way due to a massive 2009 rockfall and the light was fading quickly. I went ahead and posted up here, shooting what I could with my limited surroundings. Since my composition isn't very strong, I felt like the color version was lacking anything interesting for you to look at. Deciding to process in monochrome, I aim to highlight the tonal values, textures and patterns, more so than the scenery itself.

1/13 Update: Reprocessed for less contrast

I like it, especially with those clouds that are important to balance the shot.

Thank you! I had to pump a little more contrast into said clouds to achieve that balance.
