With an April backpacking trip to the Smokies drawing near, I find myself digging through images from my Autumn 2010 excursion to the same park. While always learning new processing techniques and ways of seeing, photos that were once looked over for whatever reason are suddenly popping out at me, causing me to question why I never game them a chance.
It's very exciting to not only revisit the memories but to realize how important it is to have faith in your abilities as an artist. I'm nowhere near the end of my photographic career and there is still an endless amount of experience I have yet to gain.
Although, I do know how far I have come. I can see a true progression from my first images to my more recent work and it causes great excitement for my future.
Eh, not necessarily. This was a difficult blend. The trees in the background were catching so much light and the foreground was so shaded that the shutter speeds were too far apart to have a very realistic blend. The trees are a little too pumped and the water may be as well. The muddy greens and browns in the middle throw me off.
