On our way to the top of one of the tallest waterfalls in North America on one of the oldest trails in Yosemite. The immense power coming from this flow of water is bewildering. Even mist is felt from this distance. The thought that the tallest waterfall around can run dry just a few months later is also stupefying. Such a humbling feeling to stand next to something that makes you feel so insanely insignificant.
Shot with a neutral density filter to smooth out the flow during the bright midday sun, creating a nice balance between the static, angular rock and the kinetic, amorphous water. A yellow B&W filter was applied in Photoshop to darken the sky and really pop in a great level of contrast.
